전공분야는 20세기 중반 이후 현대 영미시, 영미문화 및 퀴어연구이다. 최근에는 제2차 세계대전 이후 미국사회의 냉전 이데올로기와 소비문화의 연결관계가 미국적 시민의식 및 정체성을 형성하는 과정을 연구하고 있다.
